Use of Funds
The funds raised by the Sustainable Environment Foundation will be used to:
Promote the benefits and means of reducing carbon emissions and so help to build sustainable urban communities.
Develop educational resources and partnerships with educational centres within urban communities.
Examples of the kind of activities that the Sustainable Environment Foundation regularly engage in include:
Development of sustainable development templates to provide best practice solutions for creating truly sustainable urban communities. Most recently the Foundation has been instrumental in creating such an agenda for the Thames Gateway “eco region”.
Short-term briefings for mid-level executives in the property industry.

Special partnership initiatives with Imperial College and Reading University, which include named lectureships, awards, and joint MBA curricular development. The Foundation also intends to support an endowed professorship in sustainable building practice at one of these institutions.
Development of school curricular materials, in keeping with national curriculum standards for Education in Sustainable Development.
